SHOW TITLE: BIG and SMALL - The theme of the show is big and small. Each artist must enter 2 prints: one of your biggest and one of your smallest. They do not have to relate in media or theme. They do not have to be about a specific theme. If they thematically relate to the concepts of big and small- great, but it is not necessary. Use your judgment on defining big and small. Show Dates: Monday February 8, 2010- Friday March 19, 2010. Location of show: Carroll Community College Great Hall-Building A, 1601 Washington Road, Westminster, MD 21157 Contact/Organizer: Lisa Tayerle, 301-962-0830, lisa.tayerle@montgomeryparks.org Fee: $10.00 for reception and Postcards. Carroll Comm. does not provide either. September 30, 2009: Entry form must be received by Lisa Tayerle, 3005 Blueridge Ave., Wheaton, MD 20902. January 1, 2010: Entry form with title information due to Lisa Tayerle. Monday February 1, 2010 2-6PM: Work may be dropped off at Lisa Tayerle’s house. Wednesday February 3, 2010 11AM- 2:00PM work may be dropped off at: Carroll Community College - Building A- Great Hall, 1601 Washington Road, Westminster, MD 21157 We will hang the show that day. Lisa will need volunteers to help hang this show! Wednesday February 10, 2010 7:00-9:00PM: Reception. We are responsible for providing food and beverages for the reception. Volunteers are needed! Saturday March 20, 2010 9-3:00 Take down work. Volunteers are need to take down the show! Sunday March 21, 2010 3-5PM work may be picked up at Lisa T’s house. ALL WORK MUST BE FRAMED, AND HAVE HANGING WIRES SECURELY INSTALLED. This is a public space, and open to persons of all ages and backgrounds, consider the impact of your work. Highly graphic imagery may not be hung. The work is insured once it is installed only. THERE IS NO STORAGE FOR PACKING MATERIALS OR ART WORK. Label all packing material, so we can match it to art work when taking down the show. Please note: The College takes no commissions, but also does not act as the artist’s agent during the show.
