Maryland Printmakers
Spring 2005 Membership Meeting
Maryland Printmakers' Spring 2005 Membership Meeting will be held, at the print shop of MICA on Saturday, May 14th starting at 1 p.m. Directions: The print shop is in the Dolphin building at MICA. The road that it is on is off Mt. Royal just past the light rail tracks if you were driving from the Meyerhoff. It is an easy run from I-83, but more difficult for people coming out of the South. From I-83, get off at the "Mt. Royal" exit. Get in the lane for Mt. Royal Avenue. Drive about 1/2 mile on Mt. Royal and park somewhere near the MICA main building (you will need change for the meters on Saturday, but there is some non-metered parking on the streets.) If you walk down the hill toward the light rail, you will see the MICA bookstore. Take a right onto Dolphin Street (unmarked short one-way road). The print shop is just past the store. From the South (I-95) exit on I-395 and get in the lanes for Martin Luther King Boulevard. Drive about 3 or 4 miles. You will see the state office buildings on the left just past Eutaw Street. Stay in the right hand lane and bear right , then bear left behind the Rite-Aid. You will drive behind the Lyric to the intersection Mt. Royal (the Meyerhoff will be right in front of you.) Take a left and stay in the left lane on Mt. Royal. After about a 1/10th mile cross the tracks and park. Cross the street and the bookstore should be right in front of you. Darryl Marsan will offer a demonstration on viscosity printing. Members, friends, family, and prospective new members are invited to attend. |
