Maryland Printmakers Fall Meeting

MEETING PROPER Meeting will include election/approval of New Officers Short officer reports Information about 2 upcoming show oportunities for members. For additions to the agenda contact John Murray johncmurray@verizon.net MDPrintmaker's President DEMONSTRATIONS Tour Lisa's studio and learn how she created a studio in her basement (all by herself) including ventilation and a Takash press for about what a used car costs. HANDS ON Bring a small etching plate (or relief plate) and 2-3 sheets of paper ripped to size and print on Lisa's press using Akua Intaglio water based intaglio ink. GIVE AWAY An Akua Intaglio Trial Set will be given away through raffle. REFRESHMENTS Beverages will be supplied. Volunteers are needed to bring light snacks. Please contact Lisa T. if you can bring a snack. SITE DISCLAIMER Lisa T has cats and the house in not handicapped accessable- with stairs to get into the house, bathroom on the second floor and studio in the basement. I do appologise to any one who may be inconvienced by this. DIRECTIONS From Baltimore/Annapolis and points east. Take your best route to 495 West (toward Silver Spring) From Virginia take your best route to 495 east (towards Silver SPring Baltimore) From Frederick and points North/west take 270 south to 495 (towards Silver Spring). From the beltway take the exit for MD 97 North-GEORGIA AVE Exit 31 towards Wheaton (not towards Silver Spring). Go about 3 miles Gerogia will fork- STAY TO THE RIGHT TO REMAIN ON GEORGIA (the left fork becomes Veirs Mill) You will pass an intersection for Blueridge Ave on Georgia DO NOT TURN- Blueridge becomes one-way procede to the next intersection of ARCOLA TURN LEFT ONTO ARCOLA. At second stop sign Arcola dead ends into PARKER TURN LEFT Blue ridge is the second left off of Parker. The house is the first house on the left that actulay faces Blueridge. Blue door and shutters.
