A Maryland Printmakers Handmade Postcard Exchange
This exchange involves creating handmade postcards and mailing them to the participating artists. Why participate in a postcard exchange? Well it's fun and you will get small hand made works of art. Secondly, it's a good way to get to know other members of Maryland Printmakers. Finally, at the end of the project you will have a portfolio of works. I intend to find a venue for exhibiting this collection, however that is not guaranteed.
How To Participate
Send Lisa Tayerle a postcard with the following information:
Name:
Address:
Phone number:
Mailing address for entry postcard:
Lisa Tayerle
3005 Blueridge Ave
Wheaton, MD 20902
Entry Deadline: Postcards from people who wish to participate must be received no later than FEBRUARY, 15 2008.
You will receive a list of participating artists in the mail by March 7, 2008.
Create your 5" x7" postcards using any media of printmaking, collage, mixed media. Include “MD printmakers" on the card on one side or the other. One side should be reserved for stamp, mailing address and return address (return address is your name). The other side is your artwork. The only limitation is that you must be able to stamp it and mail it (do not put the card in an envelope and mail it. The idea is that every post card should have a stamp and be canceled). Mail your postcards to everyone on the list, or as many people as you care to. One set must be mailed to Lisa Tayerle.
You may mail your 5"x 7" postcards to participants anytime between March and September 1, 2008.
Postcard Deadline: All handmade postcards must be mailed no later than September 1, 2008.
We will schedule a get together in October 2008 and we can all meet in person and bring our cards.
